A cozy and intimate gathering brought together approximately 31 enthusiastic alumni who arrived at the venue by 6 pm. Despite the smaller attendance, the event was filled with warmth, shared memories, and a strong sense of camaraderie as the alumni reunited.

Alumni Lecture Series – Mentoring session: Be Corporate Ready

Mr. Harshit Bairwa, an alumnus of GBSRC (Batch 2013-15), is working with KPMG Global Services as Senior Executive, Talent Acquisition. The session was attended by a total of 77 participants. In his interactive session with the students of MBA semester-I, briefed them of what are the different aspects to face the corporate world and how can they work towards getting into their dream companies. In the opening statement he educated the students on the importance of prioritizing their interest over the market trends, conducting a SWOT analysis of themselves & identifying a sector they are interested in rather than just following the market sentiments. Everybody joins amateur, only through an experience they get to learn and develop new horizons in any field. He asked students to prepare a list of companies and target those companies to get placed. He urged that graduates pursuing an MBA should be spending more time on LinkedIn rather than social networking sites like Facebook, as most of the jobs are posted directly on LinkedIn by recruiters.

The evening was inaugurated by honorable Dr. Yash Raj Patil, treasurer and Director, Dr.D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth Society and Dr. Smita Patil Jadhav Trustee & Director madam both of them spoke as inspirational mentors to all the Galactical progress in growth appreciated & resonated by all for the DPU has achieved in last two decade and assured each alumnus who is groomed as a resourceful group of well-placed people can have every need or help can be given by the Parent alumni institution in this difficult situation if they face in any possible manner by any catalytic stimulus.

Alumni Meet - "Connect 2019"

The first Alumni Meet of Global Business School and Research Centre was organized on 26 ^thJanuary 2019 (Saturday) at the institute premises.

The Alumni started arriving in college by 5.30 p.m. and they were received with awarm welcome by the registration team. Post registration they were taken on acampus tour where they revisited the familiar classrooms, library, officeareas, and canteen and were shown the various developments that had taken placesince then. It was heartening to have alumni from the last decade (2006-08batch) to the recently passed out batch together on a common platform.

After the welcome address, Director Dr.Chetan Chaudhari –the guiding light behind this successful meet – felicitated the alumni association members of GBSRC, Mr.Kevin Stephen (2013-15), Mr. Vivek Kolte (2014-16) and Mr. Arvind Lende (2016-18) with a bouquet as a token of appreciation for their contribution. Dr. Sharmishtha Deshmukh –Head, Alumni Relation appreciated and applauded the contributions and support imparted by the association members in every activity which was required for formal registration of the association.
